Our Glass

Unshockingly for an author of creepy tales who is Gothic in heart if not fashion, I make more than occasional visits to cemeteries. Over the last couple of months, one of the houses between my most frequent ossuarial destination and the river path into the centre of town has received a sprucing up, including a rather fine mural on the end wall.

With the rain having set in weeks ago with few gaps, it’s taken the artist a considerable time to put the finishing touches; however, they found enough moments to complete the main section, and I found a gap in the sky water to capture a photograph.

In addition to approving of the message, I find both the aesthetic skill and the cleverness of the metaphor pleasing.
